You might be wondering, “OK, this sounds great, but does it really work?”
Since the late ’70s, I’ve worked with small to large clients to help them learn and leverage the art of technical charting for better investing results. Whether as a trader/broker for firms like Merrill Lynch, Dean Witter, or Prudential Bache, or as a personal trading consultant to private individuals such as yourself, my focus has been on producing sound analysis and thoughtful insights to generate measurable results.
During my formative years, I witnessed firsthand the advantages of technical (vs. fundamentalist) trading, and became an instant convert. I believed the best way for smaller accounts to trade the market successfully was through analyzing charts of historical market activity and close monitoring technical indicators. The insights gained through technical charting allowed traders like me to better forecast optimal entry points, better calculate and manage risk, and plan short-term objectives (when to get out). This isn’t voodoo, luck, or fortune-telling — it’s a combination of science and art, and it works.
